Gladbrook-Reinbeck possible schools dissolution before South Tama Board
The Gladbrook-Reinbeck School Board was presented with a 2nd petition for dissolution and have requested a statement from the South Tama School Board outlining their willingness or unwillingness to accept territory within the Gladbrook-Reinbeck School District.
The South Tama School District received a letter on Jan. 11 requesting a statement outlining South Tama’s feelings on accepting territory and associated assets of the current Gladbrook-Reinbeck district and under what conditions.
South Tama has stated they have no objection to the division of territory and assets proposed by the Gladbrook-Reinbeck’s first dissolution commission in 2016. South Tama says they are receptive to continued communication with the commission upon the commission’s request. However, they do not feel it is necessary for South Tama to meet with the commission at this time.
South Tama requests they notify the South Tama Board if their commission is considering making any changes to the 2016 dissolution proposal that may affect the South Tama district. In the event of any changes to the 2016 proposal, South Tama would reserve the right to request a meeting with their commission.
