Offer free Grant Writing Workshop for non-profits
The Tama County Community Foundation (TCCF) is pleased to offer a free grant writing workshop for nonprofits in the area. This workshop will be held Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Toledo Library meeting room, 206 E. High Street, Toledo.

This Nonprofit Grant Writing Workshop will provide information on writing strong and effective grants to the Tama County Community Foundation, as well as general grant writing tips to help nonprofits succeed when applying for other available grant opportunities. Dotti Thompson, Program Manager with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, will present on navigating the Tama County Community Foundation online grant application and will provide experience-based tips to help you improve your grants.
Prior to joining the Community Foundation team, Dotti Thompson, spent 24 years in the nonprofit sector providing services to crime victims and their families. As the Executive Director of Domestic Violence Alternatives/Sexual Assault Center, she wrote a multitude of grants, developed organizational policies and procedures, and implemented victim-centered programming. As the Program Consultant at Crisis Intervention Services, Dotti developed the procedures for a housing outreach initiative for homeless and near-homeless crime victims.
