South Tama 2014-15 school audit released
Nolte, Coniman & Johnson P.C. have released an audit report on the South Tama County Community School District.
The District’s revenuestotaled $19,862,779 for the year ended June 30, 2015, an increase of 2.79 percent from the prior year. Revenues included property tax of $5,400,433, income surtax of $570,113, statewide sales, services and use tax of $1,369,710, charges for service of $803,038, operating grants, contributions and restricted interest of $2,200,164, unrestricted state grants of $9,264,678, nonspecific federal grants of $144,218, unrestricted interest of $20,466 and other general revenues of $89,979.
Expenses Up 6.8%
Expenses for District operations for the year ended June 30, 2015, totaled $18,692,970, a 6.8 percent increase from the prior year. Expensesincluded $6,187,191 for regular instruction, $2,488,568 for special instruction, and $2,193,412 for administration support services.
