South Tama issue passes 63-37 percent

Unofficial returns show the South Tama Special election to extend authority for the school board to spend designated tax won approval from voters by a margin of 361 Yes to 211 NO.

The measure gives authority to the school District to spend designated sales tax money. That spending is primarily limited to buildings, grounds and maintenance.
