The Toledo Public Library invited Meskwaki Settlement School to display artwork in the glass cases in the library lobby at 206 East High Street.

A combination of drawings, paintings, pottery, silk paintings, and prints are available for the public to see in the months of March and April during regular library hours.

More than 25 student artists are represented in the exhibit. They are in junior high or senior high at Meskwaki Settlement School. Meskwaki

Secondary art teacher Julie Bousum said, ” There is a wide variety of media to be seen – paste paper collage, books, silk hoop paintings, and more traditional media?as well as still life scenes, nature pictures, and even some abstract designs as subject matter.”

Also on view is the Meskwaki group weaving that won the Jean Seberg Student Art Contest in fall of 2014. There are greeting cards based on students’ works available for view at the library checkout counter.
