Tama Firefighters are now accepting nominations for the 2016 Tama Citizen of the Year honor.

Each year since 1982 the Firefighters Association has chosen a nominee to recognize as a person who has contributed to the city through volunteer efforts.

The deadline for nominations is May 6 at 5 p.m.

Submit nominations to Tama Firefighters Assoc., c/o Judy Welch, City Clerk, 305 Siegel, Tama, IA. 52339 by the deadline of Friday, May 3, at 5 p.m.

The 2016 Citizen of the Year will be recognized during the Lincoln Highway Bridge Festival set for Friday and Saturday, May 20 and 21.
