STC Elementary PE students participated again this year in the World Sport Stacking Association’s Stack Up! day on Thursday Nov. 12. Since 2006, the WSSA has set a new Guinness Book of World Records mark every year for “Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations in One Day.” The number to beat this year was 592,292 cup stackers.
South Tama Elementary has been involved for the past 3 years and this year 28 students from different grade levels participated. Each student gets a sticker and the school also gets a certificate if the record is broken. The PE department receives a free set of cups for participating and it’s a very fun way to culminate the cup stacking unit.
