Toledo Reinig-Friedrich American Legion Post 72 will present programs at the South Tama Elementary School at 9 a.m. and at the STC High School at 10 a.m. on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11.

At 11 a.m. Legion members will host a program on the Tama County courthouse Square in downtown Toledo. In case of inclement weather, the program will be in the Legion Hall.

Meskwaki provides a free lunch to all Veterans. Veterans will also receive a free t-shirt so they have something to take with them to remember that Meskwaki is thankful for their service. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Meskwaki Veterans Convention Center. All Veterans (plus a guest) who attend will be served. Military ID may need to be presented upon arrival.

Veterans Dinner and Powwow

Dinner will be served beginning at 4 p.m. at the Meskwaki Tribal Center Gym and the Veterans Powwow will be begin at 6 p.m. with the Grand Entry. The public is invited to attend this free event.
