Three South Tama students will get the opportunity to travel to Europe in July. Lauren Gumm, Kaylee Chyma and Wyatt Hintermeister were selected to the Iowa Ambassadors of Music and will tour 16 countries this summer.

The trio is currently working to raise funds to make the trip possible. They have raised over $5000 since last July at local community and church events. Tama Paperboard has been the biggest contributor to the fundraising efforts thus far.

The group will be holding two fundraisers in the coming weeks. The first fundraiser is a Trivia Night. This will be held in the STC HS Little Theatre on Nov. 7. Snacks and concessions will be available. (More details on time and team entry fee will be announced at a later time).

The group is also partnering with Rubes Steakhouse on Monday, Nov. 9, for a burger night from 5 – 9 p.m. Rubes will donate 10 percent of sales (including bar items) toward the trip

Additional fundraisers include Scratch Cupcakes available to order Dec. 28 – Jan. 15.
