South Tama High School addition moves step forward

Nicholas Hildebrand, with Struxture Architecture gave a plan for the High School addition budget. Tier one is estimated to have construction costs of $4,334,025.00 with a cost of $200,000.00 for site demolition and elevation a 10 percent contingency of $453,403 and 17 percent development for a total project cost of $5,585,919.

A plan was shown on the action for the addition starting with October, 2015, and ending in July, 2017.

Hildebrand will be back at another meeting to have more information and scheduling.

The board approved going ahead with the project. This would eliminate the portables and also make larger spaces for classrooms.
