Toledo Library partners with South Tama 4th grade on book
The Toledo Library partnered with the STC 4th grade on a book project that is now complete. The kids in the class voted on the winner and Katie Husak’s book, The Day Before Easter is the winning title. Katie says ” she was surprised when the winner was announced and she will continue to keep writing books, but may have someone else illustrate them”. Katie worked on the book project at recess and at night and handed the final project to the teacher on the last day of school. Katie’s hard work paid off. Her book is now a part of the Toledo Library’s collection so come in and check out this new book, The Day Before Easter. Katie is the daughter of Jerome and Joanne Husak and has a sister Kylie. Thanks to Jenny Rosario for beginning this project and STC Art Teacher Jessica Miers for working with and completing the project.
There is a new custom-made shelf in the children’s area at the Toledo Library. This beautiful shelf that now holds our board books was created by Frank Hayak, Iowa Custom Hardwood. State of Iowa Direct State Aid helped in funding this new library project.
