South Tama School Board election set for Tuesday
With no contests on the ballot, the South Tama School Board election set for Tuesday, Sept. 8, could be a quiet one.
District 2 Director Mark McFate, Toledo and District 5 Director Jackie Dvorak, Chelsea are seeking reelection and Penny Tyynismaa, Tama is the lone candidate on the ballot for the District 3 seat held by Anne Michael who is not seeking another term.
School board positions are for four years.
While candidates must live within the boundaries of the district they seek to represent, all voters cast ballots for all seats.
Polls are open from noon – 8 p.m. in the five polling places in the district including Tama- Tama Civic Center, Toledo- Reinig-Toledo Civic Center, Chelsea- Chelsea Fire Station, Montour- Montour Community Building and Meskwaki Settlement- Sac and Fox Tribal Center.

Directors Michelle Yuska, Toledo, and Alan Kline, rural Toledo, terms carryover and are not on this years ballot.
