Three seats open on South Tama School Board

Three South Tama School District director district post will be on the ballot for the Sept. 8 school election. Each position is for a four-year term.
District 2 Director Mark McFate, Toledo, told The Chronicle in an email response he has taken out nomination papers but is unsure whether he will be a candidate for reelection.
Anne Michael, Tama, District 3 director, said Friday she will not be a candidate for a third term on the board.
District 5 Director Jackie Dvorak, Chelsea, told The New-Herald on Tuesday she hasn’t decided whether to seek another term. She has served since February, 1999.
Candidates must live within the boundaries of the district for which they are seeking a seat. The filing period for nomination papers is July 6-30.
Nomination papers are available from the Office of Tama County Auditor and Commissioner of?Elections Laura Kopsa and from Mary Boege, STC schools business manager and board secretary.
The Auditor’s office is located in the Tama County Administration Building, 104W. State, Toledo and Boege’s office is at the School Administration Building, 1702 Harding (U.S. Highway 63), Tama.
Voters in all areas of the?South Tama School District are eligible to cast ballots for a candidate in each director district in the Sept. 8 election.
Holdover STC directors with terms expiring in 2017 are Michelle Yuska, Toledo, and Alan Kline, rural Toledo.
