Derek Hutchinson, owner of Hutchinson Construction located in downtown Tama at 125 W. 3rd St, started his construction business in 2010 doing home additions and remodeling projects in and around Tama County. He started with Amwood, located in Toledo on Business Hwy 30 right across from Hrabaks Lumber, and got a partnership with them in 2013. He recently received an award from Amwood which exemplifies excellent performance and achievement, not only with building but for being there for in times of need. Amwood is glad to have Hutchinson Construction as part of their team, and look forward to working with them in the years to come.

Hutchinson Construction also recently partnered with Energy Panel Systems, (EPS), based in Graettinger, IA, located in Palo Alto County. They offer post frame packages, solid core structural insulated panels, as well as other panel products for residential, commercial and agricultural applications, etc. Hutchinson Construction took this partnership with EPS the beginning of 2015 and look forward to offering these new products and services to their customers.
