Laura Novotny

Laura Novotny is the FFA member of the Month for November. Laura is the daughter of Jim and Karla Novotny.

Her favorite FFA activity was to attend horse judging with her sister, Amy, and her friend, Beth. After high school she plans to attend Iowa State University to major in animal science. Her advice to other FFA members is to get involved.

Laura’s supervised agriculture experience (SAE) project is poultry processing. Laura raises broilers throughout the summer, butchers them, and markets the birds to the public. This last summer she raised a little over a hundred birds.
