Aubrey Pansegrau selected as People to People Ambassador

Aubrey Pansegrau

South Tama sophomore and daughter of Jim Pansegrau, Tama, and Kim Pansegrau, Tama, Aubrey Pansegrau, was selected as a People to People ambassador. People to People is an organization that leads trips around the world for students.

Pansegrau was nominated by a teacher though she is not sure which teacher. After completing an interview process she was selected to be one of forty students from the state of Iowa to travel on the 19 day Celtic Cultures trip. Pansegrau will visit Ireland, Scotland, England and Whales. The trip is set for the end of June 2015.

While abroad Pansegrau will partake in activities including going behind the scenes with a former member of Parliament, riding a jaunty cart through the Gap of Dunloe, tracing Scottish legends and clans with a Scottish Highlander, experiencing Ireland with a local family, rappelling down a castle tower, training to be a knight at Warwick Castle and hearing from students about the conflicts in Northern Ireland’s history and the path to peace.

Both Kim and Aubrey are excited about the opportunity for Aubrey.

Pansegrau will be fundraising to help pay for the trip. A fundraising kickoff Soup Supper is set for Fri. Nov. 14, from 5-7 p.m at Living Faith UMC in Tama.
