The annual Toledo American Legion Veterans Day Turkey Dinner will be Saturday evening, Nov. 8, at the Legion Club, 109 N. Main. serving will be from 5-8 p.m.

The Legion recognizes the sponsorship of Sunny Hill Care Center this year for providing turkeys and pies for the event.

On Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11, a special flag raising ceremony will be conducted at the South Tama Elementary School, 1611 Country Club Lane, Tama, at 9:30 a.m.

At 10 a.m., all veterans are encouraged to attend the Veterans Day program at South Tam High School, 1715 Harding, Tama.

The annual Veterans Day program will be presented at 11 a.m. on the Tama County Courthouse Square in downtown Toledo. The program will be at the Legion Club if the weather is inclement.
