South Tama FFA members participated in numerous contests Sept. 30, in Osceola.

The dairy judging team consisting of; seniors Laura Novotny and Jordan Schroeder and juniors Haley Shope and Garrett Princehouse. Novotny, Schroeder and Shope took first, second, and third in the individuals category. Garrett Groth, Terry Winders, Bryce Bartel, and Darrin Anderson placed 16th in Livestock Judging.

Placing 13th in horse judging was juniors Mindy Ryan and Garritt Zimmerman and sophomores Jenson Vodochodsky and Drew Dostal.

A number of freshman participated in an Greenhand knowledge quiz. Derek Novotny placed 15th, Austin Clayton placed 19th, Steven McVay placed 20th, Ethan Novotny placed 22th, Bryce Dickenson placed 25th, and Seth Hoskey placed 27th. Taking a more advanced knowledge quiz, senior Tyler Quigley placed 11.
