New clock graces South Tama Elementary entrance

The entrance to the South Tama Elementary School in Tama took on a new look recently with the addition of a clock to the tower entrance courtesy of the STC?Elementary Boosters. The space for the clock had been left empty as a cost-saving measure when the school was built in 2006. The Boosters paid $4,000 for the clock which has a dial measuring four feet in diameter. Principal Jim Bugge said the clock resets itself automatically in the event of power outages or to change from daylight savings to standard time.
