The Tama-Toledo Lions Club recently selected their officers for the 2014-2015 term. Ray Judge was named the club president. He has been an active member of the Tama-Toledo Lions Club for the past twenty years. Ray will also serve as the club’s Lion Tamer for the 2014-2015 term.

The officers and members look forward to leading various projects and continuing the club’s commitment to serving the community.

Over the years, the Tama-Toledo Lions Club members have worked on a variety of projects in the local community, such as providing eye exams and glass to those in need, and providing KidSight eye screenings to pre-school age children in the community. Proceeds from past fundraising events have gone to an annual scholarship, Tama and Toledo Libraries, and the Wieting Theatre Renovation.

The Tama-Toledo Lions Club presently has 22 members and meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Tama-Toledo Country Club. Meetings are held September through May each year. Lions clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs.
