June 17

8:23 a.m.- Glen Richard Arthurs, 27, rural Montour, arrested in the 3000 block of E Avenue, Montour, on charges of 3rd degree burglary, criminal trespassing and two warrants by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office.

10:40 a.m.- Matthew Terry Merical, 43, Nevada, arrested in the 100 block of North Main, Toledo, on a warrant by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office.

June 18

9:15 a.m.- Richard Darrel Steveson, 24, rural Toledo, appeared in court on charge of carrying weapons filed by Toledo Police.

11:06 a.m.- Corey Allen Williams, 33, Garwin, arrested in the 100 block of 1st Street, Garwin, on charges of 2nd offense domestic abuse assault, two counts of neglect of a dependent person, 4th degree theft and on a warrant by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office. Released on July 11 at 5 p.m. after sentencing.

12:40 p.m.- Jeffrey Ray Van Nevel, 32, Belle Plaine, arrested at 100 N. Main St., Toledo, on a charge of driving while barred and two counts of unlawful killing of a non-game bird by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office. Released on June 23 at 9:35 a.m. after serving time.

5:28 p.m.- Billy Joe Evans, 40, rural Elberon, arrested in the 3000 block of 280th Street, Elberon, on a charge of domestic assault – impeding air / blood flow by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office. Placed on pre-trial release on June 19 at 11:40 a.m.

6:34 p.m.- Elijah Burton Plaehn, 22, Toledo, arrested in the 1000 block of S. Prospect Drive on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing by Toledo Police. Released 7:25 p.m. after posting cash bond.

June 19

3:03 a.m.- Bryce Allen Beisker, 22, Cedar Rapids, arrested in the 1600 block of Tama County Road V37, Dysart, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance in premises / motor vehicle / dwelling by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office. Released at 12:35 p.m. on personal recognizance bond.

3:03 a.m.- Samuel Arthur Franzen, 21, Elberon, arrested in the 1600 block of Tama County Road V37, Dysart, on charges of felony D controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in premises / motor vehicle / dwelling, harassment of a public official, providing false identification and drug distribution – violation B by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office. Released at 7:45 a.m. on surety bond.

Juvenile arrested in the 1600 block of Tama County Road V37 on charges of 1st offense drunken driving and possession of a controlled substance by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office. No other information was provided in the Press Arrest Log.

June 20

11:10 p.m.- Luis Antonio Puetes-Lopez, 20, Montour, arrested in the 200 block of West 3rd Street on charges of assault on a peace officer / other public service worker, simple assault, interference with official acts, public intoxication, disorderly conduct and possession / purchase of alcohol under legal age by Tama Police. Released on June 22 at 11:30 a.m. on personal recognizance bond.
