Joe Burnes, Tama and Will Van Buren, Marshalltown, got in some early practice at Cherry Lake on June 7 for the Cardboard Boat Regatta scheduled for this Saturday afternoon, July 12, on the lake located just southwest of the downtown Tama business district. A canoe race is also planned by the Community Activities Group who will begin sign up for entrants at noon at the lake.
