Enjoy the 5th annual Toledo Stoplight Festival this Friday night, July 11

Toledo’s vintage stoplight at Broadway and High lends it’s name each year to the very popular Toledo Festival on the downtown Tama County Courthouse Square. It’s sponsored by the Tama-Toledo Area Chamber of Commerce.

RAIN: In case of rain the chamber has announced entertainment will ta Bumblebee’s, just east of the Courthouse square on North Broadway in downtown Toledo.

Events kickoff with Barefoot Becky who returns to the bandstand at 4:30 p.m. and continues with Straight Up (Seymours), Clyde Purk and Paul Hala and Dogs on Skis.

Co-chair Travis Mullen says there may be surprise entertainment in store as well.

The BBQ?sampling contest begins at 5:30 p.m.

Food vendors including the Tama County Cattlemen and Ward’s Indian Tacos will be set up.

Among activities for kids are the return of the “Gigantic Bouncy House,” water fights provided by the Toledo Fire Department and a Fire Safety Trailer with demonstration for kids.

Toledo-Tama Kiwanis will feature “Basketball Pong.”
