This past holiday season, Shopko Hometown collected signatures from customers as part of its Help Us Give Back initiative, a program that was run in all 181 store locations across the country. Customers could sign up between December 1 – December 24 and for every signature Shopko Hometown Foundation donated $1 (up to $2,000).
Thanks to the community’s support, the Shopko Hometown Foundation recently donated $2000 to the South Tama County Community School District.
“Shopko Hometown is proud to support schools in the communities where we do business,” said Peter McMahon, Shopko CEO. “We are thankful for your community’s strong commitment to students and look forward to supporting your schools in the future. “
The Shopko Foundation supports accredited schools and 501(c)3 organizations. Grants are awarded throughout the year to support programs which further the Foundation’s purpose of promoting the health and education of Shopko teammates and customers. Over all of its 181 stores, the Shopko Hometown Foundation will donate more than $300,000 to school districts across America.
