South Tama Middle School students chosen for academic excellence

Every month, two students are selected for academic excellence from each grade. For January, these students were Callie Frakes and Makayla Backen for sixth grade, Gloria Youngbear and Mariana Fonseca for seventh grade, Daniel Ochoa and Lauren Gumm for eighth grade.

6th Grade

Callie Frakes, daughter of Tami and Roy Frakes, enjoys math. Outside of school, she likes dancing and running. Makayla Backen, daughter of Holly and Trever Backen, likes math. Outside of school, she enjoys making up dances with her friends.

7th Grade

Gloria Youngbear, daughter of Jeanette Youngbear and Jose Gonzales, likes math. Outside of school, she enjoys reading and listening to music. Mariana Fonseca, daughter of Juan M. Fonseca and Maribel Fonseca, likes math. Outside of school, she likes hanging out with friends.

8th Grade

Daniel Ochoa, son of Emily Nunez and Manuel Ochoa Sr., likes P.E. Outside of school, he likes wrestling. Lauren Gumm, daughter of Brian and Erin Gumm, likes math and literacy. Outside of school, she likes hanging out with friends and listening to music.
