Voters in the South Tama School District will decide on Tuesday, Feb. 4, on the renewal of a Physical Plant and Equipment Levy which would continue the assessment for 10 years beginning July 1, 2015.

The issue was defeated by the narrowest of margins – 150 – NO – 149 – YES?in the Sept. 10, 2013, regular school election.

The levy provides $1.34 tax money per $1,000 in property valuation. use of the funds are restricted to school property acquisition or improvements or equipment.
