Tama County philanthropic governing bodies merge

Tama County

Community Foundation- STC?United Fund join

Governing bodies of the Tama County Community Foundation (TCCF) and the South Tama County United Fund (STCUF) have merged. This merger will allow for better collaboration during grant deliberation.

TCCF has been a steadily growing channel of support for non-profit organizations in the county since 2005.

In its years of existence as an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, TCCF has also been successful in growing endowments and other funds for the betterment of the communities of Tama County.

STCUF currently serves 18 agencies that help support people and projects in the South Tama area. STCUF was established in 2006.

They raise annual funds through the leadership of their local Governing Committee and contracted staff and distribute grants through an annual process to organizations serving South Tama County.

The South Tama County United Fund is, also, building an endowment designated to support services and programs for South Tama County residents forever.

The South Tama County United Fund is a fund of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa and under the umbrella of the Tama County Community Foundation.

Mary Fasse-Shaw, TCCF Development Director, provides the committee support and helps raise awareness of the group’s activities.
