The Tama County Council on Aging, in conjunction with Tama County Public Health and Home Care, is looking for your gently used human assistance devices.

Spearheading a project to make loaned devices universally available to citizens of Tama County, the Council on Aging is asking you to bring your devices to Carrington Place, 403 Grandview Drive, Toledo, between 1-3 p.m. this Saturday, July 20.

Please drive up to the front door with your equipment. Health care professionals will be on hand to accept your contributions during these hours.

Devices sought are wheelchairs, walkers, canes, toilet risers, shower benches, and portable commodes. Your equipment must be in good shape. The organizers will refuse any devices deemed unsafe or in poor shape.

Availability of any of this type of equipment will be made to any citizen of Tama County demonstrating a need, regardless of age or income. More details regarding the program will be made available soon.
