It’s Tama County Fair time!
The Tama County Fair is set to kick-off on July 16 for its annual 6 day run at the fairgrounds facility in Gladbrook.
This year 200 youth from ten county 4-H club organizations and three local FFA chapters are preparing more than 1,500 exhibits for this years fair. These projects include both livestock and non-livestock exhibits.
This showcase of local youths achievements is coupled with several activities that are sure to be crowd pleasers. Plans are underway for events like the popular sculpture auction, BBQ contest, fun night activities, crowning of the Tama County fair queen, Tama County Soil & Water Conservation District watermelon feed and Farm Credit breakfast.
The Tama County Fair and Livestock Association is a dues organization that provides the youth of Tama County an opportunity to exhibit their livestock and non-livestock projects as an outgrowth of their 4-H and FFA experiences.
