Students in Deloris Ryan’s 4th grade class at the South Tama Elementary in Tama had a special guest on Friday, April 19, with Chris Branstad, Iowa’s First Lady, on hand to read to them. She read a book selected by her daughter, a 3rd grade teacher, entitled “Nubs, The True Story of a Mutt, A Marine and a Miracle.” The visit is a part of the Read Across America program which Ryan has participated in for many years and has brought a number of well-known persons to read to her classes.
