inishing touches are added to the new South Tama High School sign by Greg Williams, an employee of Nagle Signs Inc. The STC Activity Boosters were instrumental in funding the project according to South Tama Superintendent Kerri Nelson. News-Herald/John Speer

Motorists on U.S. Highway 63 (Harding Street) were able to follow the progress of the new sign installation on the South Tama High School campus in Tama over the past couple of weeks. The sign will be not only display the high school name but “as some really neat features including the ability to display text and pictures,” STC Superintendent Kerri Nelson said.

If it isn’t already, Nelson said it will be fully operational shortly.

Nelson said the STC Activity Boosters were major backers of the new sign project. “It was Jim Husak who approached me in last summer about the possibility of the STC Activity Boosters making a donation to install a new sign at the High School,” Nelson said.

The school board accepted the proposal in September.

” It is a very generous donation and we are very appreciative of the support,” Nelson said.t
