Tyon- Borrego promoted to Master Sergeant

TSgt Celeste S. Tyon- Borrego was promoted to Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force on 1 Feb 2012.

She is a budget analyst at the AF Command and Control Integration Center (AFC2IC) Director of Staff Division at Langley AFB, Virginia.

MSgt Borrego was deployed to CJTF- Horn of Africa, Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti from July Dec. 11 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. While in Africa she was the vendor pay Non-Commissioned Officer in charge and the liaison for the Comptroller and Contracting office.

As a result of her professionalism and leadership she was awarded the Air Force Joint Service Achievement Medal, first oak leaf cluster.

She is currently studying for her Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) exam in May. She is married to MSgt Rudy Borrego of San Antonio, Texas, and has three children, Asia, Isabella, and Cristina.

Celeste is the daughter of Linda Tyon and the granddaughter of Gladys Buffalo of Tama.
