Adorned and bespeckled in pink, many citizens went to The Pump on Saturday, Oct. 18, all in the name of breast cancer awareness. ‘Pink Out The Pump’ was the theme of the event, with everyone in sight in the color. There were drink specials, a 50/50 drawing, and a silent auction, all raising money for the non-profit Can Do Cancer. Local burger maestro Moony was on hand to fill bellies along with those eating from the pulled pork nacho bar. Special ‘Pink Out The Pump’ T-shirts were worn by citizens who flashed their screen-printed breasts with a slight lift of the bottom of the garment, raising both eyebrows and awareness.
