On Saturday, May 3, Gail’s Academy of Dance held their seventh annual recital. This year’s theme was “While We Are Here, We Should Dance!”, and just that they did!
Owner and dance instructor Gail Ridout, took the day to highlight the hard hardwork and dedication of this year’s senior class.
“This past Saturday marked the final recital for four of our beloved seniors: Emily Carnahan,
Macy Welsh, Hannah Houghton, and Kayleah Laughlin. Emily and Macy have been dancing
together since they were just three years old. Hannah and Kayleah joined a few years later. It

has been such a joy to watch all of these girls grow–not only in ability, but in style, confidence,
and grace.”
Quoting Taylor Swift is something Gail finds herself doing often, on Saturday this was no different. What came to mind was “Hold on to the memories, they will hold on to you.”
In both her speech at the end of the recital and in a message to the News Chronicle, Gail echoed thanks for people key to making the recital a possibility.
“I would like to thank each and every one of you for coming to the seventh annual Gail’s
