WCF Financial Bank recently announced new personnel movements and acquisitions for their branch in Tama.

Lesa Haughey has joined the bank in a Customer Support role while Jenn Thiessen has been promoted to Assistant Vice President/Customer & Loan Support/Assistant Compliance Officer. Thiessen has been with the bank since it opened in 2020 and Haughey meanwhile began work on March 7.

“I’m excited to join WCF Financial Bank and continue my community banking career,” Haughey said. “It’s great to work once again with Kelly and Jenn who have established WCF’s strong presence in the Tama/Toledo market.”

Haughey is a resident of Tama with 19 years of community banking experience, all in the Tama/Toledo market. Her background includes work in a variety of roles including customer service, teller, new accounts, lending, and loan underwriting. She previously worked with Thiessen and Tama Market President Kelly Smith at the State Bank of Toledo.

Haughey is a graduate of Marshalltown Community College and Buena Vista University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance and Banking. She has been an active member of the local community, serving and volunteering for numerous organizations including the Wieting Theatre, Kids Corner Daycare, STC REC, STC After Prom, and Adopt-a-Family.

“It’s great to have Lesa join the WCF team,” Smith said. “She has significant banking experience and knows the local community very well. Having worked with her in the past, I’m confident that she’ll fit in very well with Jenn Thiessen and I as we continue to serve our growing customer base here in Tama/Toledo.”

Thiessen grew up in the Tama/Toledo area, and is a graduate of South Tama County High School. She has 13 years of community banking experience that includes a variety of customer-service focused roles throughout her career.

“I’m very pleased to announce Jenn’s promotion,” WCF President/CEO Tim Kluender said. “She has done an excellent job serving customers in our rapidly growing Tama/Toledo branch.”

Thiessen will continue in her current customer service and lending support role, while the promotion will allow her to take on additional responsibilities, most notably in the bank’s compliance area.

“I’m honored to be part of the WCF Financial Bank family,” Thiessen said. “I appreciate the confidence that the bank’s leadership and Board of Directors has placed in me, and I look forward to continuing to support our customers as we grow our presence in the Tama/Toledo market.”

WCF Financial Bank is pleased to announce that Jenn Thiessen has been promoted to Assistant Vice President/Customer & Loan Support/Assistant Compliance Officer. Thiessen has been employed with the bank since 2020 while working out of the Tama/Toledo branch office.
