New events combined with traditional ones will be enjoyed this weekend, Nov. 22-24 in Tama and Toledo for the Area Chamber of Commerce holiday season kick-off.

“This holiday event has something for everyone – beautiful homes to tour, tons of activities, a major movie opening and a lighted parade, not to mention Santa!” says Chamber President Danielle Hardon. “We hope everyone in the community finds a reason to celebrate the start of the holiday season in Tama-Toledo. Also, please remember that the chamber businesses who make these events possible would appreciate your business during the holiday season.”

Events get underway Friday evening with the Parade of Homes presented by Kids Corner Daycare. If you can’t take the tour on Friday night, it’s offered again on Saturday.

And, on Saturday there’s a full slate of events starting with a Knights of Columbus pancake breakfast at the Toledo Legion Hall, Santa visits the T-T Country Club with cookies and a bake sale, fun events for kids at the libraries, a vendor fair at South Tama High School, a matinee at the Wieting and the annual Lighted Holiday Parade in downtown Toledo.

On Sunday, a breakfast and bake sale at the Tama-Toledo Country Club runs from 9 a.m.- noon.
