Chelsea Public Library adult readers playing “Summer Reading Bingo”

Thanks to the suggestion made by part time librarian Judy Ochs, adult Chelsea Public Library patrons are playing a game of Summer Reading Bingo. The game started in May, and runs until the end of September. In order to be entered into a drawing for the grand prize, patrons must get a blackout on their bingo card by reading a book that matches the topic for each square on the bingo card.

The grand prize is an “All Chelsea” basket containing items and services donated by entrepreneurs, business people, and creative people who live and/or work in Chelsea. The basket contains: One gallon of butterfly popcorn grown by Chuck and Ginger Werner, Kent Feeds die cast model feed truck donated by Heartland Coop, Chelsea, Chelsea Community Club cookbook, keychain flashlights, and koozies donated by the Chelsea Community Club, Thirty-one Snap on bin donated by Alissa Klenk, Quilted Table Runner created by Tama County Quilt Company, Metal Iowa sign created by A&M Creations, Handmade all occasion cards created by Julie Kasal, Coffee cup, pens, pencils, post-it notes, letter opener, and tea donated cy Chelsea Savings Bank, Chelsea, Hat and Koozies donated by Backwater Bait, Four bottles of wine made by Francie Behounek, Soul-Wrestling Meditations in Monochrome written by Ken Bazyn,, Hat and tee shirt donated by Hrabak’s Lumber, Hand crocheted dish cloth and scrubber created by Pam Vranek, Hand painted birdhouse gourd created by Becky Poduska
