Coming annual Chamber Car Show in Tama, Saturday, Sept. 17

It’s free and fun for all ages, the annual Tama-Toledo Area Chamber of commerce Car Show is this Saturday, Aug. 16 from 10 a.m.- 3 p..m. on West 3rd Street in downtown Tama.

“After a great response in 2016, we’re pleased to announce the top 20 format returns this year. This year looks to be a great year with a projected record turnout of cars and car-loving visitors,” says chair Marty Hardon.

“We’re thrilled to have some great local restaurants in the downtown area including Home Grown Smokers, El Cerrito, Jaylene Ice Cream and Living Faith United Methodist Church will be doing a fundraiser walking taco/Hotdog lunch at the Civic Center from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.”

Judging begins at noon and the awards presentations are at 3 p.m.

Chair Marty Hardon gives the entry and prize details: “There will be trophies for the Top 20! And $400 for best of show!

“For those entering a car in this event, the cost is $15. So be sure to pre-register/register your car! There will be Free T-shirts for the first 50 registrants.
