Reception planned for new State Auxiliary President Brenda Youngbear
The Fraternal Order of Eagles held there 107 th Annual State Convention June 1720. Steve Langton of Cedar Rapids was elected Worthy State President. Brenda Youngbear of Tama was elected Madam State President for the term of 2015-2016.
There will be a reception honoring Brenda as Auxiliary Madam President on Friday, July 24, at the Eagles Club 112 east 3 rd Street Tama from 5 to 8 p.m. All are invited to attend.
The leaders have chosen for their state charity for the year the “Wildwood Hills Ranch of Iowa”, St. Charles, Iowa. They serve “at risk” children. Many who have suffered physical or sexual abuse, neglect, parental drug or alcohol abuse, gang violence, and the absence of one or both parents. Wildwood Ranch serves more than 900 children annually for ages 8-18.
In attendance were Brenda’s children Jamie Youngbear, Josh Youngbear (Lesley) and Grandchildren. Her sisters Renita Plander, Sheri Youngbear Tama and brother Rick and wife from Nebraska Tim Youngbear,Tama and many friends.
Local officers attending were Carleen Corum PGMP,PSP, Nellie Morehead PSP, Dee Calkins JPMP Jean Doran MP Mary Jane Nekola Chap. Donna Lasser, Sec, Brenda Young Treas.
Brenda’s escort team was Tracy Tichy, Jeff Dostal and Ben Bolen and her nieces Wendy Witt, Angela Steinback and Shelley Patterson.
