School has been out for weeks now and the library’s summer reading program is underway. On Tuesday of Week one we had Jester Puppets from Clive preform for us. It was great and very funny. Afterwards we made superhero ID cards, played Strike out the Villain and had Super Hero Tootsie Pops and Joker Juice for our snack.

Our Thursday group listened to stories and talked about local heroes like Firefighters, Policemen and Veteran’s. Premier Estates placed flags in our yard and at the civic center in honor of Flag Day!

The library has ordered the books from the list of this year’s Elementary Battle of the Books, so if you want to get started on the list this summer, the books are ready to go!

The library has been fortunate to receive many donations this summer. We have received help from many local businesses and groups for summer reading.
