Award Day 2019

Summer Reading is officially over for this year! Everyone had a great time and the kids did a lot of reading.

The winner of the four Adventureland tickets this year was Tay Sanders. The winners of the guessing jar were Isabel Gomez and Carter Lyon.

All together the kids read and logged 73,680 minutes. They earned 122 books and 1228 small prizes. We gave away prizes in the weekly drawings and at Award Day. At the beginning of the summer I asked all the kids to challenge themselves and set a reading goal.

We had 10 kids that set goals for themselves at the beginning of June and they all met their goals. Each one received a ticket to go five times to the Wieting Theater and a gold statue, gold plastic that is. Their names are Hailey Lyon, Carter Lyon, Jack Lyon, Jersey Zeman, Jasper Zeman, Ben Seremba, Yvonne Seremba, Juliana Victoreen, Megan Victoreen and Melody Victoreen. I’m very proud of how much all the children accomplished this summer and I know with all the reading they did this summer, there will be no Summer Slide for our kids.
