Arrest Report – Tama County Jail

Oct. 29

Joshua Thomas Pry, 31, Urbandale was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office for possession of a controlled substance, driving under suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding. Pry was released on Oct. 30.

Brandon James Pippert, 28, Lincoln was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office for domestic assault, violation of a no contact order, trespassing, 2nd degree burglary and 5th degree theft. Pippert was released on bond on Oct. 31.

Larry Carroll Bohnsack, 72, State Center was arrested by Meskwaki Police for OWI (1st offense) and failure to maintain control of a vehicle. Bohnsack was released on Oct. 30.

Oct. 31

Charles Lynn Poafpybitty, 47, Toledo was arrested by Toledo Police for possession of drug paraphernalia and five counts of probation violation.

Nov. 1

Dawn Janine Poweshiek, 60, Tama was arrested by Tama Police for public intoxication, interference with official acts and after hours sale. Poweshiek was released the same day.

Nov. 2

Erica Lynn Velez, 30, Tama was arrested by Toledo Police for driving under suspension and permit to operate a vehicle with suspended registration. Velez was released the same day on bond.

Kameron Shamar Means, 23, Indianapolis, Ind. was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office on an out-of-state warrant in a breaking and entering case. Means was extradited to the State of Ohio on Nov. 2.

Shanna Danyel O’Clair, 34, Tama was arrested by Toledo Police for driving while barred, driving under suspension and permit to operate a vehicle with a suspended registration. O’Clair was released the same day on bond.

Nov. 3

Cody John Kelso, 33, Grinnell was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for failure to appear in court.

A juvenile was arrested by the Tama Police for operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Nick Daniel Chesser, 49, Waterloo was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office on warrants for failure to appear in court.

Ronald Lee Houghton II, 62, Toledo was arrested by Toledo Police on a warrant for failure to appear in court.

COURT NEWS

Dalton James Mitchell, 30, Toledo was before the district court in custody on Nov. 8 on one count of domestic abuse assault impeding air/blood flow causing bodily injury, a Class D felony. Mitchell was arrested on Nov. 7 by the Toledo Police Dept. for allegedly committing a domestic assault by knowingly impeding the victim’s airflow by placing his hand around their neck and applying pressure. Mitchell was ordered to have no contact with the victim. A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 23 at 9 a.m. Mitchell is represented by attorney Taylor Reichardt of Marshalltown.
