Oct. 14

Ezra Oliver Seymour, 20, Tama was arrested by Toledo Police Department for driving with license denied/revoked-OWI.

Marian Lisa Roberts, 53, Tama was arrested by Toledo Police Department on a warrant for violating no contact order-contempt. Roberts was released on Oct. 17.

Luis Felipe Ordaz Ochoa, 27, Marshalltown was arrested by Tama County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for failure to appear.

Oct. 15

Jazmin Ruiz-Romero, 29, Tama was arrested by Meskwaki Tribal Police for OWI-3rd offense, open container, and insufficient number of headlamps. Ruiz-Romero was released on a pre-trial release on Oct. 15.

Lance Eugene Gibson, 31, Toledo was arrested by Toledo Police Department on a warrant. Gibson was released on his own recognizance on Oct. 16.

Oct. 16

Juan Ramon Santiz Santiz, 20, Tama was arrested by Tama Police Department for OWI-1st offense. Santiz Santiz was released on his own recognizance on Oct. 16.

Calvin Michael Doll, 58, Tama was arrested by Tama County Sheriff’s Department for OWI-1st offense, possession of a controlled substance-marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and improper rear lamps. Doll was released on promise to appear on Oct. 17.

Oct. 17

Carlos Campos-Sanchez, 28, Toledo was arrested by Tama Police Department for OWI-1st offense. Campos-Sanchez was released on promise to appear on Oct. 17.

Brenda Lee Stull, 56, Belle Plaine was arrested by Tama County Sheriff’s Department for OWI-1st offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, open container, and failure to maintain control. Stull was released on promise to appear on Oct. 17.

Derek J. Hutchinson, 32, Tama was arrested by Tama Police Department for violation of no contact order. Hutchinson was released on promise to appear on Oct. 18.

Oct. 18

Edison Nsengiyumva, 22, Cedar Rapids was arrested by Tama Police Department for driving under suspension and criminal mischief. Nsengiyumva was released on surety bond on Oct. 18.

Jeremy Lee Ragsdale, 39, Montezuma was arrested by Toledo Police Department for OWI-2nd offense, provide proof of financial liability, and violation of restricted license. Ragsdale was released on his own recognizance on Oct.19.

Rosie Marie Youngbear, 23, Tama was arrested by Toledo Police Department for OWI-1st offense, interference with official act, provide proof of financial liability, and failure to maintain control. Youngbear was released on her own recognizance on Oct. 19.

Bukuru Pacific, 23, Tama was arrested by Tama County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for failure to appear. Pacific was released for time served on Oct. 21.

Scott James Lewis, 18, Traer was arrested by Tama County Sheriff’s Department for harassment-1st degree and disorderly conduct. Lewis was released on a pre-trial release on Oct. 21.

Scott James Lewis, 18, was before the district court in custody on October 21 for an initial appearance on charges including harassment-1st degree (aggravated misdemeanor) and disorderly conduct-loud raucous noise (simple misdemeanor). Lewis was arrested on Oct. 20 by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office who had been dispatched to North Tama School for a student “out of control” including yelling and cursing in the hallway and making a statement about wanting to kill someone, according to a criminal complaint. Lewis was ordered to have no contact with North Tama County Schools nor to be within 200 feet of North Tama County Schools. A preliminary hearing is set for November 9, 2021 at 9 a.m. Lewis is being represented by attorney Scott Hunter of Marshalltown.

Alan Ryan Panosh, 37, Tama filed a written plea of guilty with the district court on October 21 to one count of domestic abuse assault (aggravated misdemeanor), one count of child endangerment (aggravated misdemeanor), one count of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness (serious misdemeanor), and one count of possession of marijuana-first offense (serious misdemeanor) after having previously pled not guilty on August 20, 2021. Charges in the case stem from a domestic assault incident which took place on June 19, 2021 and was reported to the Tama Police Department Iowa via the Department of Human Services. Judgement was deferred for a period of two years in the case and Panosh was sentenced to unsupervised probation under the conditions of: no further law violations; enrolling, attending, and successfully completing and paying for the Iowa Domestic Abuse Program; making restitution for all sums due and owing. Panosh was ordered to pay the civil penalty for deferred judgments in the amount of $855 on Count 1, $855 on Count 2, $430 on Count 3, and $430 on Count 4, plus a $90 domestic abuse surcharge as well as court costs. Panosh is represented by attorney Audra Faye Saunders of Des Moines.

Victor Pop Perez, 43, Toledo was before the district court on October 21 for an arraignment hearing. In a written arraignment, Perez pled not guilty to one count of sexual abuse-3rd degree (Class C felony). Perez was arrested on September 9, 2021 by the Toledo Police Department for allegedly performing a sex act by force on the victim in the case against their will. A no contact order was issued on September 20, 2021. Perez has waived his right to a speedy trial. A jury trial is scheduled for January 24, 2022. Perez is being represented by attorney Scott Hunter of Marshalltown.
