2017 Tama-Toledo Country Club Men’s Handicap Tournament Report
Twenty five members participated and were broken down into two divisions, Senior Division, members age 65 and older and an Open Division for members under the age of 65.
Ten golfers competed in the Senior Division. Winners and their adjusted scores were: First place was Mel Helm with a 62.4, Second place was Bruce Wier with a 63.2, Third place went to Jerry Vaske with a 64.6.
Fifteen golfers competed in the Open Division. Winners and their adjusted scores were: First place went to Dan Spinks with a score of 58.8, Second place was Al Chemlik with a 63.8, Third place was a tie between George Corum and Rick Riffle with scores of 65.4, in Fifth place was Derek Gaydos at 65.8.
Pin prizes were awarded during the tournament. Closest to the flag on hole 1 was Derek Gaydos. Closest to the flag on hole 4 was Mel Helm. The longest putt on hole 7 went to Al Chemlik.
In conjunction with the tournament a putting contest was held. Seven players qualified for the finals. They were Josh Ginneto, Boo Steuhm, Dave Dolezal, Galen Musgrave, Rick Riffle, John Legg and Rusty Crawford. The three in the finals were, Rick Riffle in first place, second place went to John Legg and third to Rusty Crawford.
