The STC Cross Country team began their season with their annual cross country meet at Marshalltown Community College.

South Tama’s State-qualifying returner Callie Frakes, who is entering her sophomore year, took 6th overall in varsity girls. New to the Trojan lineup is junior Jessica Musgrave. Musgrave had a nice start to her first season on the team, finishing 14th.

Leading the varsity boys was sophomore Tyrin Lasley who finished 52nd.

The cross country will compete again on Tuesday, September 5 at the Grinnell Invitational.
