Following the announcement of the Iowa News Paper Association All-State lists the Des Moines Register and Cedar Rapids Gazette recently announced their own Iowa High School Football All-State postseason superlatives. Three players from the South Tama football team earned recognition from the two dailies.

The Des Moines Register named running back Jerry Lowe to the Class 2A first team offensive roster and lineman Justin Suchanek to the Class 2A first team defensive roster.

The Cedar Rapids Gazette also awarded defensive lineman Justin Suchanek and defensive back Cody Kellogg to their Class 2A first team defense list.
