Trojans top Williamsburg in conference contest

South Tama hosted the Williamsburg Raiders for a WaMaC Conference contest on Tuesday, December 15.

Starting for the Trojans were Adonis Lasley, Gabe Shields, Triston Lasley, Riley Davenport and Wade Brown. Starting for Williamsburg were Sam Busch, Noah Heitshusen, Allyn Francis, Jackson Culp and Ben Subbert.

It took a couple of minutes for the Trojans to find an offensive groove. Once they did it was fairly smooth sailing for the remainder of the game. The Raiders took a small lead in the opening minutes after a field goal and free throws. However, the Trojans quickly countered and never looked back the rest of the way.

The Trojans built a nice lead of 30-19 going into the half and the Raiders were never able to match STC’s pace on offense. Gabe Shields led the Trojans with 20 points while Riley Davenport snagged 7 rebounds and 9 points. The game concluded with a final score of 55-42 and the Trojans were able to claim their second win of the season.
