Jerry Lowe

STC senior Jerry Lowe will be one of three nominees for KCCI and Fareway’s Student Athlete of the Week award. Lowe is the son of Ron and Brenda Lowe.

He has participated in football for four years and started on varsity for three years. Lowe has also been involved in soccer, wrestling as a freshman and one year of track as a sophomore. He was also the STC 2015 Homecoming King.

When not playing football Lowe enjoys spending time with his family. He is also active in Power lifting. He won first place in the dead lift and bench press at the Iowa State Fair during his freshman year and also won first place at the Iowa State Fair in the dead lift his sophomore year. Jerry also works part time at Fareway.

When asked what was special about this year’s team Jerry said their hard work and dedication. “All the guys are great guys, especially the seniors.” The seniors are helping the juniors and sophomores to become better. “Everybody works together as a family to get things done,” said Lowe.

Voting began Friday November 6 and runs through Wednesday Nov. 11.
