Salgado brothers bring Origami display to the Toledo Library

January 16, 2014
Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

Brothers Anthony and Andrew Salgado began their interest in paper folding and origami when they were in second and third grades.

They began by looking at books and practicing the art of folding. Anthony's first interest was the Origami Yoda Series; those books are part story and part instruction books. Star Wars and birds are two of his favorites to make.

Andrew enjoys making boats and boomerangs the most.

Now that they are much more practiced and experienced at age 9 and 11, they are taking time to practice the special folds. There are four folds; the petal fold, the rabbit ear, the bird space and the kite fold.

They both can make origami by seeing it, but do like to use instructions when they can.

Please stop by the Toledo Library, 205 E. High St., to view the brother's fun display. The display can be seen through February.
