Voters will get a chance to hear from the candidates for mayor and city council in Toledo on Tuesday, Oct. 29, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Reinig-Toledo Civic Center.
The Toledo PEO Chapter DF have invited all 11 candidates on the ballot to take part.
The format for the evening i according to a PEO information sheet includes:
an introduction by each candidate and sharing their vision for the community.
Candidates for the respective Wards I, II, III and at-large will speak in alphabetical order.
mayoral candidates will follow, also in alphabetical order.
following all the introductions, the audience will be allowed to ask questions with each candidate given two minutes to respond. According to the rules set, only the candidate of which the question is asked may respond to the question unless it is directed to several candidates initially.
candidates unable to attend have been invited to prepare their introduction and community vision which will be read at the forum.
the sponsors expect the meeting to last about two hours.
